Story: New group seeks ramp to landfill

If "RAMP" wants the ramp built, then it should require Republic Services (Countywide Landfill) to pay for the ramp. Didn't Republic Services claim they were going to pay for this ramp. Why does this multi-billion dollar company - Republic Services (headquartered in Florida), and the neighbors of Republic Services' landfill expect the Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Joint Solid Waste Management District to expend tens of millions of dollars to build this ramp. Public financing of the ramp is wasteful corporate welfare.

RAMP should ensure their attendance at Pike Township Zoning Meetings - when Republic Services once again, and very soon, will seek to expand to potentially hundreds of acres. This landfill has accepted (puportedly unknowingly) radiation and lead. We must IMMEDIATELY mobilize against this Florida-based company.
