Girard Mayor keeps his eye on Ohio C&DD landfill

GIRARD - As he fights to keep a second construction and demolition debris landfill out of Girard, Mayor James J. Melfi said he's keeping his eye on the first one as well.
While Total Waste Logistics (TWL) was approved Dec. 28 for a one-year renewal of its license for its C&DD landfill on Salt Springs Road by the city's health board, Melfi said he wants to have more information to review to make sure the site is up to codes, especially any new standards recently placed by the state on C&DD landfills. . . .
