Waste district wants to stay informed about landfill

BOLIVAR - Area officials asked to be kept in the loop about any problems regarding I-77 and a nearby landfill.

At Friday’s meeting of the board of directors of the Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Joint Solid Waste Management District, Tuscarawas County Commissioner Chris Abbuhl asked the district to contact the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency. He wants to make sure the district is kept informed about any landfill settlement in the west slope of Countywide Recycling and Disposal facility and any additional measures to be taken.
